Either by choice or necessity, as a result of the credit crunch, many solicitors are considering setting up in practice, either on their own or in partnership with others, which can be a daunting prospect without guidance.
The London Group has put together a seminar to provide a toolkit for those aspiring to setup their own practice. The speakers will be:
Lloyds Bank - Managing the Bank Manager and Raising Finance for your Practice
Aon Legal Insurance – Indemnity Insurance and Risk Management
Solicitors Regulation Authority – Code of Conduct and Regulatory Matters
Alastair Moyes, Director, Marketlaw Limited – Marketing Your Practice
Professor Stephen Mayson, Director of the Legal Services Institute Policy Group at the College of Law on The Future of the Legal Profession
We will also have a panel of women solicitors who have successfully set up and are running their own practices who will speak on their experiences and the pros and cons of being in charge of your own destiny.
Cost £25.00 for members and £50.00 for non-members (3.5 CPD Points)
