BLD presents ... An Audience with Mrs Justice Dobbs. This ground-breaking event is an opportunity to hear the UK’s highest-ranking ethnic minority judge speak and an opportunity to ask her questions. The event is hosted by the international law firm, Wragge & Co.
The event also provides an excellent opportunity to network with other legal professionals.
Mrs Justice Dobbs
The Honourable Mrs Justice Dobbs DBE is the UK’s first (and so far, only) non-white High Court judge, appointed in 2004. As a practitioner she became a QC in 1998, has a number of doctorates and is a Dame of the British Empire. She was named in the 2010 Power List, which profiles Britain’s 100 most influential people of African or African Caribbean heritage. She is also the Senior Liaison Judge for Diversity. She is a patron and trustee of a number of charities which reflect her interests in international pro bono work. Mrs Justice Dobbs was voted one of the 100 Great Black Britons.
