The second Solicitor's Race Equality Award, being jointly held by the Law Society and the Commission for Racial Equality, takes place on the 28th September 2006 at the Law Society, 113 Chancery Lane in London. The Lord Chancellor, Lord Falconer, will be presenting the awards. The seven award categories are:• Best employer, small and medium-sized – that is firms of 25 partners or fewer, and the not-for-profit organisations. • Best employer, large firms – that is firms with more than 25 partners. • Best employer, in-house – that is, of legal departments and public sector employers. • Best race equality initiative, small and medium-sized firms – that is firms of 25 partners or fewer, and not-for-profit organisations. • Best race equality initiative, large firms - that is firms with more than 25 partners. • Best race equality initiative in-house - – that is, legal departments and public sector organisations. • Judges award for outstanding contribution to race equality. |
