News - News - A New President for the Law Society

12 Jul, 2006

Fiona Woolf, of the City firm CMS Cameron McKenna, became the Law Society President yesterday.

As the Law Society has split its roles into three, namely as a "trade union" representing the interests of over 110,000 solicitors in England and Wales, as a regulator and the body handling complaints against solicitors, Ms Woolf’s role as President of the Law Society is limited to that of its representative role.
